On 9 October, the Director of the Institute, Dr Damjan Kavaš, participated in the 17th International Technology Transfer Conference (ITTC).The main theme of this year's conference was self-evaluation of research organisations as a support for the development and strengthening of technology transfer from research to business. The conference took place at the Jožef Stefan Institute.

The Director of the Institute participated in a round table on self-evaluation of research organisations, which was attended by Dr. Špela Stres, Director of ARIS, Prof. Zdravko Kačič, Rector of the University of Maribor as a representative of the Rectors' Conference of Slovenia, Dr. Andrej Pančur, President of the Coordination of Independent Research Institutes of Slovenia - KOsRIS, Prof. Wim van den Doel, Leiden University (Leiden-Delft-Erasmus University Association) and Mr. Daniel Marshall, University of Boulder Colorado.
