CULTURE AND CREATIVE SEKTOR

In our work, we use economic and econometric methods to analyze developments in art and the cultural and creative sector. The creative sector (e.g. architecture, design, advertising, computer games, creative tourism...) uses culture as an input for its operation and creates products and services that contribute to the economic, environmental, social and spatial development of the economy and society.

In the field of the cultural and creative sector, we carry out basic and applied research in cooperation with various ministries, the European Commission, the Center for Creativity and municipalities. Our staff is also active at the international level in the work of institutions such as the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the Association for Cultural Economics International (ACEI), the Compendium of Cultural Policies and Trends, the International Organization for Art Market Studies (TIAMSA) and editing international book collections and editions by leading foreign publishers.

Our main activities are

  • Statistical analysis of the cultural and creative sector
  • Analyses of various sectors (design, architecture, music, museums, libraries, etc.)
  • Expert support to decision-makers in the preparation of strategies, action plans and supporting policies
  • Designing proposals for the management and financing of cultural heritage buildings
  • Creative urban regeneration of cities support
  • Econometric, statistical and mathematical analyses of phenomena and developments in the cultural sector
  • Estimating the economic impact of cultural events using causal inference methods
