Our work in this area focuses on examining the research, development and innovation (RDI) activities of enterprises and the policies and measures taken by the government to support them. We provide expertise to policy makers in the areas of strategy development, policy management and policy design (programming, monitoring, evaluation), and to companies in the area of non-technological innovation, such as business models, and in the commercial exploitation of the results of RDI activities. Important research and consultancy services in this area include:

• Development of a methodology for measuring the innovation of Slovenian companies and monitoring of innovation
• Analysis of the determinants of knowledge transfer from academia to business and evaluation of intermediary institutions
• Preparation of principles and guidelines for the development of a strategy for the Slovenian economy in the field of non-technological innovation
• Exploring the possibilities for establishing the "Japanese Hub" Technology Development Center in Slovenia for the fields of advanced energy technology and process management technology
• Development of the evaluation methodology and monitoring and evaluation of the Strategic Research and Innovation Partnerships (SRIP) action
• Preparation of the methodology and assessment of the effectiveness of the Smart Specialization Strategy
