Presentation of the draft Regional Development Strategy 2026–2050 at the Slovenian Regional Days

The Slovenian Regional Days 2025 took place on October 22 and 23 in Kope, under the title Comprehensive Planning for the Future of Regions. The main theme of the event was the presentation of the draft Regional Development Strategy 2026–2050, presented by Damjan Kavaš, Director of the Institute of Economic Research. The strategy will enable better coordination of sectoral and territorial perspectives, while ensuring the coordinated integration of bottom-up and top-down approaches in the implementation of regional development priorities. This will contribute to greater policy coherence and provide a framework for regional measures that will enable more efficient use of limited public resources. Particular emphasis will also be placed on reducing the current fragmentation of regional incentives, both in terms of purpose and funding.
