We are proud to announce that Dr Darja Zabavnik, research fellow at the Institute for Economic Research, has been awarded this year's Prof. Dr Ivan Ribnikar Prize for the best PhD thesis in the broad field of banking, finance and macroeconomics. The prize is in recognition of his doctoral thesis entitled "The Effects of Financial Frictions on the Real Economy and Fiscal Dynamics", supervised by Prof. Miroslav Verbič, PhD, Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana.

We congratulate Darja on this outstanding achievement, which reflects her scientific excellence and represents an important contribution to economic research.
