On 13 March 2025, the Chamber of commerce and industry hosted the 7th regular meeting of the Strategic council for research, development and innovation (SSRRI), where key guidelines for strengthening the innovation ecosystem and the competitiveness of the Slovenian economy were formulated. In this context, Sonja Uršič from the Institute for economic research presented a report on national competitiveness according to the IMD methodology, highlighting key challenges and opportunities for improving the innovation environment in Slovenia.

As a platform for bringing together all key stakeholders, SSRRI meetings contribute to closer cooperation between business, research organisations and government, and promote coordinated action in innovation policy-making.
