On Friday, September 26, 2025, the Judicial Tower in Maribor hosted the science slam "oooZnanost! 2025," which has been organized for several years in a row by Znanost na cesti (Science on the Street) in collaboration with the University of Maribor as part of the European Researchers' Night project. The purpose of the event is to offer researchers a stage on which to present their work in a popular, accessible, and creative way.
Among the speakers was Luka Radičević, a young researcher from our institute, who gave a five-minute presentation entitled 'There is not always a signal on the entrepreneurial stage, but there are frameworks'. In his presentation, he introduced the audience to his research on investing with social influences, and to the roles of signals and frameworks in dyadic relationships between investors and entrepreneurs. Although he did not win the award, his performance received extremely positive feedback. The expert jury, who accounted for half of the final score, emphasised that they would have declared him the winner of the evening. However, the decisive difference was made by the audience votes, in which Radičević received slightly less support. The enthusiastic responses and the substance of the presentation confirm that the research topic is resonant and socially relevant.
The event was broadcast live, and you can watch a recording of Luka's performance at this link: https://www.youtube.com/live/GzXgLB8NZc0?si=ORxY1L8wfolUGU73&t=15m56s
