On Friday, September 19, 2025, the Social Impact Award program came to a festive conclusion in Ljubljana, where the winning projects of the fifth generation of the program in Slovenia, aimed at developing entrepreneurial ideas with a social and environmental impact, were announced.
Luka Radičević, a young researcher at the Institute of Economic Research, also participated in this year's program, acting as a mentor to four teams and as a member of the expert jury that evaluated the final projects. As part of the closing event, together with Ana Belac, Executive Director of Impact Hub Ljubljana, he also presented the community award, which reflects the wider public's support for the projects in the program.
The Social Impact Award Slovenia, organized by the Slovenian Youth Agency, has been supporting young people in developing entrepreneurial solutions to current social and environmental challenges for five years, contributing to the development of an inclusive and sustainability-oriented entrepreneurial ecosystem in Slovenia. The participation of IER representatives in a mentoring and evaluation role strengthens the connection between research knowledge and practice and supports the development of entrepreneurship with social impact.
