Participation in JBVI Entrepreneurship Academy 2025 in Finland

From September 2 to 4, Luka Radičević, a young researcher at the Institute of Economic Research, attended the Journal of Business Venturing Insights (JBVI) Entrepreneurship Academy 2025, held at the Aalto University School of Business in Helsinki. The academy is one of the most selective international research training programs in the field of entrepreneurship, as less than 30 participants from around the world were selected from more than a hundred applications. The academy is organized by one of the most renowned magazines in the field.

The academy program included seminars on contemporary theories of entrepreneurship, methodological workshops, discussions on publishing research and its impact, and intensive individual mentoring with journal editors and leading researchers in the field of entrepreneurship. Special emphasis was placed on the development of research contributions with a high degree of theoretical and social relevance.

Radičević presented his doctoral research project on social influence investing and the credibility of signals and frames in early-stage investor-entrepreneur relationships at the academy, receiving very encouraging and insightful feedback from his mentors. His contribution was highlighted as an example of research with good potential for publication and further development, which further confirms the quality of his research work.

Participation in the academy led to an improvement in research approaches, strengthened international cooperation and increased the IER's involvement in high-level discussions in the field of business research.
