Between May 28 and 30, 2025, the 17th conference of the Jo\u017eef Stefan International Postgraduate School (IPSSC) entitled From Research to Reality took place in Mekinje near Kamnik. The conference is aimed at young researchers and promotes the development of science communication skills, the exchange of research experiences, and the networking of interdisciplinary research communities.
On the second day of the conference, Luka Radi\u010devi\u0107, a young researcher at our institute and a member of the Young Academy, an association of doctoral students and early-career researchers in Slovenia, participated as a guest speaker. In his address, he focused on the links between research and the academic environment on the one hand and entrepreneurship on the other. He placed particular emphasis on the issues young researchers face when transferring knowledge from research into practice.
The lecture offered participants insight into the connection between scientific work, entrepreneurial thinking, and the broader social impact of research. The participation of the IER representative at the event contributes to greater visibility of the institute in the international research arena and strengthens ties with young researchers in the early stages of their careers.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Med 28. in 30. majem 2025 je v Mekinjah pri Kamniku potekala 17. konferenca Mednarodne podiplomske \u0161ole Jo\u017eefa Stefana (IPSSC) z naslovom From Research to Reality. Konferenca je namenjena mladim raziskovalkam in raziskovalcem ter spodbuja razvoj ve\u0161\u010din komuniciranja znanosti, izmenjavo raziskovalnih izku\u0161enj in povezovanje meddisciplinarnih raziskovalnih skupnosti. Drugi dan konference je kot vabljeni predavatelj sodeloval tudi Luka Radi\u010devi\u0107, mladi raziskovalec na\u0161ega in\u0161tituta in \u010dlan Mlade akademije, dru\u0161tva doktorskih \u0161tudentov in raziskovalcev na za\u010detku kariere Republike Slovenije. V svojem nagovoru se je osredoto\u010dil na povezave prehoda med raziskovanjem oz. akademskim okoljem in podjetni\u0161tvom. Poseben poudarek je namenil vpra\u0161anjem, s katerimi se mladi raziskovalci sre\u010dujejo pri prenosu znanja iz raziskav v prakso. Predavanje je udele\u017eencem ponudilo vpogled v povezovanje znanstvenega dela, podjetni\u0161kega razmi\u0161ljanja in \u0161ir\u0161ega dru\u017ebenega vpliva raziskav.
