Mission:<\/strong> Our mission and the driving force behind our activities is to create fundamental knowledge and conduct cutting-edge research in economics that is relevant for the sustainable development of the Republic of Slovenia. Our research focus is based on the research programme \"Slovenia's New Development Strategy in the EU\", which is complemented by the implementation of a number of projects in the domestic and international environment.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

OUR CLIENTS<\/h2>

IER has a long tradition of successful cooperation with knowledge users. In our work, we follow Slovenia's objectives in the framework of the 2030 Development Strategy, which focuses on the research of economic, social and environmental development factors, as well as intergenerational and spatial dimensions of sustainable development, and on the study, development and application of methodological tools that enable the production of expert bases in the implementation of the strategy for the development of Slovenia, thus contributing to a rapid and effective response to the strategic and current needs of economic policy makers. Our clients include, in particular, various ministries, government offices, institutions at regional and local level and other public institutions.

The quality of our work and our ability to transfer the knowledge, methodologies and tools we have acquired into practice is also reflected in our successful cooperation with companies. Decades of consulting experience and successful projects are proof of the trust of the business community.<\/p>

For many years, the Institute has been involved in various consortia and teams that provide independent information, analysis and expertise in the field of public policy for the European Commission and other clients.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

INVOLVEMENT IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS<\/h2>

Our researchers participate as lecturers at various national and international universities and mentor young researchers.<\/p>

The impact of the Institute's activities is also reflected in the training of top-quality personnel for the needs of universities, colleges of higher education, state administration, Slovenian diplomacy and international organisations.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

NUMBER OF RESEARCH PROJECTS IN THE PREVIOUS YEAR<\/h2>\n

IER researchers were involved in 45 projects in 2023, including:<\/p>\n

  • 14 domestic projects acquired in the market,<\/li>\n
  • 10 international research projects,<\/li>\n
  • 5 basic research projects supported by the Slovenian Research and Innovation Agency,<\/li>\n
  • 11 projects under the Slovenian Research and Innovation Agency's targeted research programme.

    IN\u0160TITUT za ekonomska raziskovanja VIZIJA IN POSLANSTVO Vizija: do leta 2030 \u0161e pove\u010dati prepoznavnost v mednarodnem raziskovalnem prostoru. Poslanstvo: na\u0161e poslanstvo in gonilo na\u0161ih aktivnosti je ustvarjanje temeljnega znanja in izvajanje vrhunskih raziskav na podro\u010dju ekonomije, ki so pomembni za trajnostni razvoj Republike Slovenije. Pri tem raziskovalna usmeritev temelji na raziskovalnem programu \u00bbNova razvojna strategija Slovenije v EU\u00ab, ki se vsebinsko dopolnjuje z izvajanjem \u0161tevilnih projektov v doma\u010dem in mednarodnem okolju NARO\u010cNIKI IER ima \u017ee dolgoletno tradicijo v uspe\u0161nem sodelovanju z uporabniki znanja. Pri svojem delu sledimo ciljem Slovenije v okviru Strategije razvoja 2030, s \u010dimer smo usmerjeni v prou\u010devanje gospodarskih, socialnih in okoljskih razvojnih dejavnikov kot tudi medgeneracijskih in prostorskih dimenzij trajnostnega razvoja in v prou\u010devanje, razvoj in uporabo metodolo\u0161kih orodij, ki omogo\u010dajo izdelavo strokovnih podlag pri izvajanju zastavljene strategije razvoja Slovenije, s \u010dimer prispevamo k hitri in u\u010dinkoviti odzivnosti na strate\u0161ke in teko\u010de potrebe nosilcev ekonomske politike. Tako med na\u0161e naro\u010dnike sodijo predvsem razli\u010dna ministrstva, uradi, institucije regionalne in lokalne ravni ter drugi javni zavodi. Kvalitetno delo in zmo\u017enost prenosa pridobljenih znanj, metodologij in orodij v prakso se odra\u017ea tudi v uspe\u0161nem sodelovanju s podjetji. Desetletja delovanja na podro\u010dju svetovanja in uspe\u0161no izvedeni projekti so dokaz zaupanja poslovne javnosti. In\u0161titut \u017ee vrsto let sodeluje v okviru razli\u010dnih konzorcijev in skupin, ki za potrebe Evropske komisije in druge naro\u010dnike pripravljajo neodvisne informacije, analize in ekspertize na podro\u010dju javnih politik. VKLJU\u010cENOST V IZOBRA\u017dEVALNI PROCES Raziskovalci In\u0161tituta sodelujejo kot predavatelji na razli\u010dnih doma\u010dih in tujih univerzah ter opravljajo mentorska usposabljanja mladih raziskovalcev. U\u010dinek delovanja In\u0161tituta se odra\u017ea tudi v vzgoji vrhunskih kadrov za potrebe univerz, visokih strokovnih \u0161ol, dr\u017eavne uprave, slovenske diplomacije ter mednarodnih organizacij. \u0160TEVILO RAZISKOVALNIH PROJEKTOV V PRETEKLEM LETU Raziskovalci IER so bili v letu 2023 vklju\u010deni v izvajanje 45 projektov, od tega: 14 doma\u010dih projektov, pridobljenih na trgu, 10 mednarodnih raziskovalnih projektov, 4 temeljnih projektov Javne agencije znanstvenoraziskovalno in inovacijsko dejavnost RS, 8 projektov ciljnega raziskovalnega programa Javne agencije RS za znanstvenoraziskovalno in inovacijsko dejavnost RS.
